The Geneva version of the Old Testament, translated by William Whittingham, Anthony Gilby, Thomas Sampson, and perhaps others; with Laurence Tomson's revision of the Geneva version of the New Testament (originally translated from the Greek by Theodore Beza) and Thomson's translation of Franciscus Junius's translation of Revelation.
An edition of the Genevan version known also as the "Breeches Bible," from the word "breeches" being used instead of "aprons" in Gen. iii, 7.
Title-page engraved; New Testament has special t.-p. engraved.
Imperfect: margins closely trimmed; many pages mutilated.
