Summary An oral history created as part of a Wayne State University Libraries project, to document Cass Corridor culture during the 1960s-1980s. The interviews were conducted by graduate students in an oral history methods course within the Archives Program of the School of Library and Information Science under the direction of Dr. Joseph Turrini. David Carson is interviewed about his experiences as a deejay and author.
Note David Carson is a music historian and former Detroit deejay. He is the author of 'Rockin' down the dial : the Detroit sound of radio from Jack the Bellboy to the Big 8', as well as 'Grit, noise, and revolution: the birth of Detroit rock 'n' roll'.
